Once upon a time, long ago in the foothills of the Alps… Many fairy tales begin this way, but this is my story. My name is Eva Maria Christin Prader. I grew up on my family's forestry estate in the mountains, in a house without electricity or hot water, with wood-burning stoves, gas lamps, and candles. I experienced my childhood and adolescence with my siblings in freedom and unspoiled nature, watching young animals like foxes, badgers, deer, and owls grow up, running around picking wildflowers in meadows, collecting mushrooms, and drying elderflowers for our delicious juices. Even as a toddler, I learned to chop wood, mow the mountain slopes with a scythe, build birdhouses and hunting blinds, and later, haystacks. As a family, we planted thousands of saplings. I was allowed to drive the car and the old red tractor from a very young age. We romped around in the forest for hours, balanced on fallen trees across mountain streams, and walked barefoot in the snow in winter. Today, we go ice swimming. With a chainsaw, we fell trees; we simply do everything the mountains demand of us, which hasn't always been easy. Whether it's ice and snowdrifts several meters high, or gentle summer breezes with a campfire under the Milky Way and its thousands of stars, I've experienced the beauty of nature, but also its violence: the power of icy storms that can turn a patch of forest into a game of pick-up sticks in seconds, and bark beetles that devour centuries-old giant trees. The wild, rural life of the mountains, the humility before nature, and its gentleness and beauty shaped my character, grounded me, and made me strong. For five generations now, we have lived here, cared for, and nurtured what Mother Nature provides. It is from this infinite peace that I draw the strength that has always accompanied me and helped me overcome a serious illness. I was proud to pass on this love, understanding, and responsibility for the cycle of life in nature to my son. We live by the values of the mountains and unspoiled nature, so it's clear that a new beverage has to embody exactly that: the power of the mountains, now available in a drink. AlpenCola and AlpenCola KIDS aren't just new drinks; they represent a lifestyle we embody and want to share.

It all began amidst pristine powder snow, ice, and steep ridges. For many years, I lived in the Arlberg region – where winter still smells of adventure and every mountain has its own unique character. I worked as a certified ski instructor, guided guests through deep powder slopes on heli-skiing trips, and worked as a mountain guide in the Alps. The mountains were my life. Freedom, responsibility, and nature – that was my everyday routine… But the mountains also teach you humility. During a tour in Switzerland, on the approach to the Finsteraarhorn Hut, something happened that no mountain guide ever wants to imagine: an avalanche swept me away, I was buried, and I ended up in a crevasse. Above me, rocks and scree, motionless and trapped in the eternal ice, a time that felt like an eternity. Finally, I was rescued and airlifted by helicopter to the hospital in Interlaken. I spent three days there for observation, as I was already showing signs of frostbite. Luckily, I wasn't seriously injured, but something inside me had changed. There in the hospital, amidst relief and silence, I began to think intensely for the first time about what would come after the mountains. What does a person do when the life that has shaped them for so many years finally comes to an end? When their strength fades, but their mind is still full of ideas? The answer came almost 50 years later. When I was already retired, I wanted to create something of my own again, something that told my story, something that fit my life. I thought back to my time as a ski instructor and mountain guide, to clear mountain air, meadows of herbs, energy, adventure, and freedom. And there was one simple passion: I always loved drinking cola. So I asked myself: Why isn't there a cola that not only tastes good but also embodies something of the Alps, a drink that's honest and has character? A drink with vitamins, with alpine herbs, and with a story? AlpenCola was born. A drink from the mountains, inspired by a life lived amidst snow, rock, and freedom. Alpencola is more than just a drink; it's a piece of my story, a reminder of my youth, and proof that even after setbacks and a lifetime of work, you can still create something new: The mountains taught me never to give up, and that's exactly what's in every can of AlpenCola today.

I grew up on the outskirts of a small Bavarian town, where the houses gradually give way to meadows and fields, and the view opens up into the distance. Even as a child, I was always drawn outdoors—out into nature, which was more than just a backdrop to me. I often spent my days with relatives on a farm. There, I experienced a simple, authentic life: the scent of freshly cut grass, the soft rustling of the trees in the wind, and the quiet consistency of rural life. These impressions left a deep impression on me. At home, too, the fields, meadows, and the nearby forest were my true playground. I would wander for hours with friends through the countryside, discovering hidden paths and letting myself be carried away by the freedom of being outdoors. Cycling, hiking, and skiing soon became integral parts of my life—as did capturing these moments through photography or losing myself in books, which further fueled my longing for the world beyond. At eighteen, I finally discovered the Alps for myself – and with them, a new dimension of my connection to nature. The mountains captivated me: their stillness, their power, their sublime beauty. Once or twice a year, I set off, climbed peaks, and found something up there that I often lacked in everyday life – clarity, peace, and a feeling of freedom. Later, after my computer science studies and my time in the German Armed Forces, my life took a different turn. I became self-employed, worked in IT, and eventually as a technical writer in marketing and after-sales. Building my own company demanded a lot of time and energy. But no matter how much everyday life consumed me, the connection to nature, to the mountains and their quiet grandeur, was never lost. With AlpenCola, I have now found a way to consciously bring this connection back into my life. It is more than just a product for me – it is a symbol. A symbol of the power of the mountains, of the beauty of the Alps, and of the deep connection to a nature that has accompanied me since my childhood.

Between Forest, Responsibility, and the Search for Meaning I grew up on a family-run forestry estate in Austria – surrounded by nature, amidst forests, meadows, and animals. Even as a child, I learned what it means to take responsibility: responsibility for the forest, for the animals, and for the balance of nature. While others spent their free time on the computer, I was outdoors: working in the forest, hiking in the mountains, or spending time with my family. From a young age, I experienced what sustainable forestry means, how much respect nature demands – and how much it gives back. These values weren't just taught to me, but exemplified from an early age. And this connection has stayed with me to this day. Despite these strong roots, my career path initially led me in a completely different direction. I wanted to gain experience, learn new things, and take on significant challenges. This allowed me to work for international corporations – from Formula 1-related projects to large construction companies, and even a responsible position during the COVID-19 pandemic at a major Austrian pharmaceutical company. In addition, I also completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter – because I've always enjoyed working with my hands and creating something tangible. Professionally, I've had the opportunity to experience a lot, take on responsibility, and work in exciting industries. But no matter where I was or what position I held, after a while the same thought always returned: This isn't what truly fulfills me. Because what has always given me the most meaning is nature. The tranquility of the forest. The power of the mountains. The feeling of creating something genuine and sustainable. Today, every bottle of Alpencola contains not just a beverage, but a piece of our story. Our roots. Our values. And the conviction that true quality always arises where passion meets heritage.
